MCM were delighted to sponsor the ‘Sporting Achiever of the Year’ at the Isle of Wight Radio Local Heroes Awards 2013.

The winners were announced at a glitzy awards evening at the Event Centre at Cowes Yacht Haven on the 27th June 2013 and celebrated the best of our Island’s local heroes.

MCM Manging Director Brendan McMahon was in attendance at the inspirational and moving event and was overjoyed to be presenting aspiring golfer Joshua Oddy with the accolade of ‘Sporting Achiever of the Year’.

Joshua has played golf since the age of three and shown tremendous passion and dedication for the game throughout recent years honing his skills as he’s grown older. Joshua is now in training with the Under-16’s England regional squad and the Under-18’s Hampshire squad and has just won the Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Channel Islands Under-16’s Junior Championship of which he described as his best win so far in his golfing journey.
